Default NAV and WinMe

You must be a newcomer here, Richard, or you would have known that *Norton*
is frowned upon in this 'neck of the woods', simply because it is
diametrically opposed to WinME, spelling nothing but trouble.
You would be well advised to ask before using any of those important
programs, to keep your computer *clean*, unless you are sure of their proper
function.

Harry.

My one-year subscription to NAV's LiveUpdate has expired and I decided
to remove NAV 2005 from my computer and install McAfee.

I now no longer appear to have a hang upon booting up the computer nor a
hang when closing it down. I've been having to use the restart button
and then waiting for Scandisk to clear things up before starting or
closing WinMe.

Is it possible that NAV has been the cause of these issues, which
started about a year ago??
