Default NAV and WinMe

Is it possible that NAV has been the cause of these issues, which
started about a year ago??

Yes, plus 20 or more others that you have either yet to discover or
forgotten to mention. g

My one-year subscription to NAV's LiveUpdate has expired and I decided
to remove NAV 2005 from my computer and install McAfee.

I now no longer appear to have a hang upon booting up the computer
nor a hang when closing it down. I've been having to use the restart
button and then waiting for Scandisk to clear things up before
starting or closing WinMe.
