Default need to reformat drive and reload 98. Is this a huge thing to do?

Because you asked ...

Great and what do you do if you cant find the qualifying
product cd?

I swear it was around here somewhere.

No, it is not. Make sure you have a bootdisk with CDROM

support, The win98
CD and the product key as well as a qualifying product CD

if your win 98 cd
is a retail upgrade. If it is a full version or OEM

version you do not need
the qualifying product.

Assuming the drive you want to wipe and reinstall win98

is C drive, here is
a sinmple set of steps:

1. Set the Bios to boot from the A: drive (Typically this

is the default).
2. Boot the floppy with CDROM support (note the drive

letter assigned to the
CDROM)
3. At the A: prompt type format C:
4. When formatting is complete, insert the WIN CDROM in

the CD drive
5. At the a: prompt type
drive letter of CDROM:\win98\setup
6. Follow instructions during install

Note: You may want to make sure you save any important

data since everything
will be lost

Just need to wipe everything out of this computer and
reload 98 back into it. Does anyone know? And is it
that complicated? Thanks.
