Default File+Folder sharing (with "net use") between WinXP and WinME not working.

From my local WinXP (+SP2) (or other Win2000) system I want to access a remote computer with WinME.

Yes, I know WinME is an old system but I cannot change it.
I want to access some folders resp. the whole C: partition on the remote computer.
Whatever I tried I could not get it working.

For example I entered:
net use K: \\84.141.***.**\C$ /USER:84.141.***.***\karl

System error 53 has occurred.
The network path was not found.

I setup folder sharing between WinXP and Win2000 systems a couple of times successfully but the
setting under WinME are somehow different.
Firewall are (temporarily) disabled on both systems

So what setting do I have to choose under WinME:

- How do I detect if file(+printer) sharing is already successfully enabled on WinME system ?
- How do I enable file+(printer sharing) otherwise ?
- Do I need NetBIOS enabled on the WinME system ?
- How do I enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP on a WinME system?
- What is the default partition sharing name under WinME (is it "C$" similar to WinXP) ?

- If folder sharing/partition between WinXP and WinME is not possible over NetBIOS:
Are there any other alternatives which enables me to access the remote folder/partitons?

Any help is appreciated

Thank you
Ken
