I've got 1461 kbps download speed now; instead of 765 kbps with a

My upload speed is only 375 kbps.
Are there any unusual hacks to bring that speed way up too?
Road Runner is advertising a 5,000kbps download plan, so your 1,461kbps
seems a tad shy of your potential maximum. I don't see an upload speed
mentioned, but yours seems in the ballpark for a standard 384kbps plan.

Interesting stuff, as I have a 2Mb connection, what's the maximum download
speed I should expect? it's currently approx. 230KBs.

8 bits per byte, and a little overhead...I would say that you are in the
ballpark; assuming that by 230KBs you mean 230 kilo Bytes per second.
