Default Error! Can't initialize plug-ins directory

A "plug-ins directory" does not exist natively in Windows. Only reference I
find to anything similar refers to Netscape, which I doubt is involved. The
developer's error message (and this *is* an error message from the app, not
from Windows) suggests either that the app creates its own "plug-ins
directory", which for this app I think is unlikely, or, since it is written
in Borland Delphi, the Enterprise Core Objects (ECO) framework that Delphi
uses, which is probably where the "plug-ins directory" exists, needs to be
repaired.

I can only suggest two things:

1. That you contact the developer for suggestions.

2. That you try uninstalling the app and, if possible, also track down the
directories created by the install and manually remove them, and/or see if
the Enterprise Core Objects (ECO) framework that must have been installed as
part of the original installation can also be removed, allowing a reinstall.

Hi,

i'm trying to install CpuIdle after a crash. But i receive "Error! Can't
initialize plug-ins directory".

The drive is ok, and temp folder exists. I have 3 Gb free.

I tried several setup files from many locations, the one i kept before the
crash and the one posted from the developer, but they all give the same

error
message.

Other installations are successfull...

I don't know what to do... before the crash cpuidle worked well.

Any idea ? Thank you.
