Default Replace MB battery

Good idea, Del........however, it has been my experience that the normal
time it takes to swap out a CMOS battery does not result in a loss of
settings. I know of one instance, where the party was attempting to clear
the CMOS settings by removing the battery and it took almost three days
before it was cleared. But, you are right, it is better safe than
sorry......the 'pic' idea is a good one.
Heirloom, old and have mine backed up

I replaced the MB battery on my box recently.

TIP: Take digital pix of each screen before replacing the battery; then
you
can be sure to get back to your original settings.

Apologies if I am giving egg sucking lessons :-)
