Right-click My Computer, select Properties. On the Device Manager tab, look
under "Disk Drives" and find your drive and double-click it. On the
Settings tab turn off the Removable setting. Keep clicking Apply and/or OK
until you're at the desktop, then reboot.

On the computer at work, the hard drive is listed as removable. I can see
this when I search for something. As a result, I can not install certain
software because the error says, "cannot install to removable drive".
Any ideas on how to fix this? I am afraid to reload with the oem disks
that
came with the computer because I am afraid I will no longer be able to
install the software that is currently on the computer now.
