Default Where can I download the Updates/Patches to use when I reinsta

When I go to the download site, even restricting the search to Windows
Millennium Edition, it gives me hundreds of results that don't have to do
anything with Windows ME but many other Microsoft Products. Furthermore, in
the list there are very few downloads for ME, not even a single Service Pack.

Does anybody know what the reason is and how I can get the Service Packs for
ME? My ME System is not on the internet so I have to use the download service.

Thanks in advance

James,

The same place that you always have. By either going on line with the
system and visiting the Windows Update site or if using a different system
by visiting the Windows Update Catalogue
(http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.co...en/default.asp) and the
Microsoft Download Centre (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/) and
downloading the patches from there. If using the latter routes you can
save the patches to disk and then burn them to a CD for use whenever you
require them.

I'd recommend you start by visiting the Windows Update Catalogue and have
a look at what is listed there for the Windows Millennium operating
system.

Once a year, I like to reformat my drive on the laptop and reinstall
WinME, which now leaves me vulnerable, as I have no patches/updates
to reinstall!

My laptop is a Pentium 266, so XP or Vista is out of the question,
and I cannot afford a new laptop, nor could I justify the expense if
I could as I only use it for Internet and Word Processing.

Please point me to any link here that has the patches available for
download.

I thank you all in advance!
