Default Updating from ME to XP home on Gateway using AMD Athalon Processor

I've seen variations of this problem posted in the past. To date I've yet to
see a firm work around for this problem posted by anyone anywhere! Not
trying to be funny but have you thought about getting another CPU with XPHome
Edition pre-installed?

Any ideas?
