There shouldn't be any conflict and no, you don't really need to have MS
Java especially as it is no longer being updated for any possible security
loopholes. You should however keep your Sun Java updated. Note that
there is a major weakness with Sun Java's update mechanism - it doesn't.
Instead it installs the latest version leaving the vulnerable version
still installed and available for any malware that might be targeting that
particular version. Therefore it is essential to uninstall all older
versions of Sun Java other than the most recent via Add/Remove Programs.
