I personally recommend this board:

I would safe if I could find a page on the asrock site where is
says that this mother board is compatiable with WIN98. So far I
haven't been able to find such a page. Is there such a page?

No, there is no such page.

No (new) motherboard sold today, or for the past 2 years at least,
will claim to be compatible with Windows 98.

If you read the msfn thread, you would see that there is win-98 driver
support for several chipsets that are used in new motherboards.

There is one motherboard component that I haven't ever seen win-98
driver support for - and that's the HD audio component that started to
appear on motherboards 2 or 3 years ago.

So you can fart around and try to find an old legacy motherboard
(either used, or new-in-box) that dates from 2003, or you can take a
chance on one of the boards mentioned in that thread.
