I am running W98SE with ZA and the version I am running is 6.1.744.001.
(Which I think is the latest and final version for this operating system).
As another poster has said, go to the web site and download this version. I
have this version saved as a file on the hard disk.

It's very hard to find a firewall that works with Win98. I'm sorry,
but I can't suggest one.

If your friend connects to the Internet through an Ethernet adapter, I
recommend putting an inexpensive broadband router between his computer
and the cable/DSL modem. The router would act as a firewall, with no
software required.
