Default line error box

T I keep getting this box to pop up and say you have an
T error on, line 5, for example. Then I click on the fix
T line error and it doesn't do anything except bring up
T another box and I have no idea what all the jibberish is
T that is typed there for me to click on. When I do click on
T one even an hour later when I go to use the computer again
T it says you will stop the debugging process if you close
T this window. Can anyone help me?

May be an error in a DOS-type boot file. Edit C:\CONFIG.SYS or
C:\AUTOEXEC.BAT. The problem is in the 5th line in your example
(there is a line counter in the lower right-hand corner). Either the
syntax is invalid or there's an invalid comment character at the
beginning of the line. CONFIG.SYS wants a semi-colon (';');
AUTOEXEC.BAT wants a colon (':'). I will put a colon instead of a
semi-colon in CONFIG.SYS and get a message as your described.
