Default Monitor Blinks

Have you succeeded Maidensolo to get graphics correctly?

install 98 on my machine and am having the same problems. I eventook out
my card and replaced it with an old display card i hadwhen i used
win98. Didn't help. I thought for sure that wouldbe the answer, but
when i try to download drivers, i get the sameanswers: i've got the best
one already, blah blah.

yes win98 don't know your new graphic card so you can't let
win98 "search for the best driver", instead you must tell it
to install the driver *you* know is the correct one.

On the monitor, it says i have downloaded 1048 by 764 or somethinglike
that, that i am used to but it never gives it to me, even tho
i restart the machine like it tells me too.

if you still have graphics problems it could be interesting
to know what graphic card and display you have

I remember when i used to install 98 i would have the darndest time
connecting to the internet. I did this time too. But i didnt go thru

do you have problem connecting to internet too on that computer?
what kind of internetconnection or is that problem solved now?

this hell. What about you?

since Kubilay wrote "which was very useful" on the followup I assume
that he succeded in installing graphic drivers

I have just had to reinstall Win 98 second edition on my old computer.
But my display is now stuck on 16 colors and 640x480 resolution. Itried
to update the driver for my video display adapter but it saysthe best
one is installed. I have no driver disk and i don't knowthe adapter
manufacturer.
In addition after trying somethings without success my monitor display
begins to blink when browsing in internet.

the blinking sounds interesting.... or is interlace-flicker or
verry low refresh rate that is ment here perhaps? blinking 40 times
per second or more

anyway, microsoft.public.win98.gen_discussion probably gets
more replys if your problem persists
