When I try to use a shortcut on my desktop, the "Open With" box pops up. But,
its not just shortcuts on the desktop, its various folders within the system
"tree". Not even my "Windows" folder will open up, unless I right click, and
click on the lower-case "open" in the menu.

I tried deletting the shelliconcache file, but that did not help. I normally
have my folders set up for single click open, but changed it to double click
to see if it would help, and it did not.

I of course have Windows Me, and believe to be up to date with updates.
