Default rebooting when print selected

What is the software? Does undoing the update to that software resolve the
problem? Can you reapply the update manually?

Application software was updated. Other software on this PC does not

cause
re-booting.

What "software update" occurred before this started happening? A Windows
Update? Some other application? The printer software itself, or drivers?

When I start printing, w98 system reboots for no reason, immediately.

It's a
dot matrix printer on a parallel port on another computer on the

network.
Only happens on this printer (there are other printers attached) and

since a
software update. Doesn't happen when using this printer from another

pc.
