Default Unofficial Time Zones Update (Testers wanted)

I will have to bite the bullet and install XP w/IE7 on a VPC (now that I can
do that), just like I'll have to install Vista and XP in default
configurations, just so I can figure out WTF people are talking about, and
how to get them to where they need to be.

IE7 uninstall... Not so sure it works perfectly. I've had a couple of
clients uninstall it and it seems to have broken a couple of things. Not
certain yet, have to follow up with them this week that's coming. Might be
totally unrelated, purely coincidental issues.

OK, I think it's mostly finished. All I need are a few guinea pigs, web
page proofers, etc. The files I am offering work for ALL legacy Windows
systems, 95 through 2000 (XP and 2003 are the only ones MS provides
updates for, and the info is already in Vista.)

The only system I haven't tested yet is NT4. If anyone has one they're
willing to test it on, I'd sure appreciate it. Otherwise, it will be
another several days before I can dig out my copy of that and load it
into a VPC.

Might as well start at the beginning:

Once I'm satisfied, I'll be broadcasting the news to all MS public
newsgroups. Heck, I bet even most XP users don't know they need it, and
it isn't installed by Automatic Updates or suggested by using Express
option at Windows Updates. Only the Custom option. Seems real stupid to
me, but the logic MS uses to handle Updates often escapes me. Like making
IE7 a Recommended Update, but then having Automatic Updates install it.
Dumb, dumb, dumb!

PLEASE!! If you're not reasonably adept at using Windows, backing up
Registries, restoring same, etc., DON'T try these Unofficial Updates
until others have proven them out.

Yep, all the security updates load automatically in XP if windows update
is left at default settings. And, for some reason, the recent IE 7.0 is
considered same category. There is some protection added as ZA Pro
doesn't hardly see personal headers anymore with IE 7 running vs IE 6.
However IE 7 did create some problems here, so I uninstalled (yes, there's
an uninstall feature). Apparently, I'm not the only one with problems
with IE 7 per windowsxp.general newsgroup.

Wish I could help with the Time Zone update in NT 4.0 Last time ran NT
4.0 w/SP4 was 3 years ago.
