You may need to adjust settings to see them in the Windows version...

(a) "START button, Run, Scandisk".
(b) Uncheck "Automatically fix errors".
(c) Click the "Advanced" button.
(d) Check "Report MS-DOS Mode name length errors".

Now, you should get a requestor when a name length error occurs. I get
two, both are Macromedia Flash Player related. I have chosen not to fix
them yet, until I get a chance to investigate whether they are mentioned
in the Registry with the long name.
