Default windows 98 floppy disk version

You didn't confirm for me: You have a CD but you do not have a floppy drive?
At least not at the same time? If that's the case, you need to use a CD
writing program such as Roxio to make a bootable CD version of the floppy
startup disk (EBD.) You then make your laptop boot to the CD drive (you may
need to change BIOS settings to accomplish this.) Once the Startup disk has
loaded, with CD support, you then do your FDISK, FORMAT, etc., and then when
it's time to install, you insert the Windows CD and run Setup from the WIN98
folder on the CD.
