Windows 98 wont play youtube videos
I already have WMP 9.0 and now I have installed Adobe Flash Player 9.0 and
even after that the same problem crops up. I have a Broadband connection at
speeds upto 2Mbps. It is NOT so much that I want to play videos as to
listening to music of my choice!
Does some adjustment needs to be done in Multimedia? There is a break in the
audio every 5-10 seconds!
Thanking you

I just wanted to mention briefly that Windows Media Player 9 is the last
and
latest Windows Media Player that supports 98SE. Windows Media Player 10
supports XP but not 98SE.

I am able to play YouTube video/audio in Windows XP SP2 but
NOT in Windows 98 SE!
Is it NOT designed such as Skype which requires a minimum
of Windows 2000? Is there any patch that requires to be
downloaded and installed? Capt K Ripendran
I play YouTube videos fine in Win 98 SE using Opera 9.22, and
Flash player 9,0,16,0.
To my knowledge, I installed Opera and Flash player long ago and
they and youtube just worked.
The only trick I know of is sometimes it takes multiple clicks
to get it arted.
I recall some statements on the youtube site that you needed WMP
10. With 98 I have only WMP 9 but it seems to work.- Hide quoted text -

Are you on dial-up? If so can you play videos on other sites, without
them hesitating every once in a while. I couldn`t play videos well at
all until I went to cable.
