Default ip address in 98

What is the safest way to allow my computers to see each other? The way it
is now i have a range of ip addresses in each firewall trusted area.
Is that the best wqay or should i put ip adresses in the firewall ? Would my
computers not change ip addresses after a reboot...thanks tom

How do i find the ip addreess in Win 98?

Click Start Run, type in: winipcfg and press Enter

If i am behind a wireless
firewall...(DLink 524) will the computers ip addresses change after it is
shut down and rebooted?

If you shut down (power off) a router, all the machines will be
reassigned new IP's in the order the machines are booted after the router
is powered back up.

I want to allow access to my home network without
using a range of ip addresses.

If you do not use a range then each machines IP that you want to allow
access, must be entered separately into the Trusted Zone of the firewall
used on the machine.

Should the ip addresses for the seperate computers go into the router, or
the indivdual computers firewalls?

The friewall on each individual machine.
