Have you tried pinging your DNS server? - this sounds more and more like a
problem with your ISP, rather than one at your end
If you can successfully ping the DNS server, but nothing beyond it, then
it may be that the server is either poisoned or not functioning properly -
and that is definitely your ISP's problem.

SNIP............................

Noel, and gang....................

I'm back! And I'm glad (??) to see that someone else has the exact problem
I do!!! Sorry about that, Mr. R. Robinson.

Regarding your suggestions from yesterday, I did run Stinger, CWS Shredder,
several online AV scans and a local scan, and ran the LSPFix program. I did
everything Mr. Robinson did, and still no good. I've resigned myself to
simply formatting my C: drive and reloading WindowsME from scratch. The
fact that I don't know if/how/where I can find drivers for my hardware only
has me in a mild panic now. Will cross that bridge later.....

This problem is incredible, and I've seen lots of them. How Internet
connectivity can simply drop off after a specific period of time is too
weird, esp. after working great up to that point. By the way, swapping
another Windows ME computer with this one works! So it's definitely INSIDE
that particular unit.

Thanks for your help. If you have any other ideas, I'll be looking.
