What can I do?

My advice would be to forget all about Norton Antivirus. It's basically
incompatible with Win Me (and virtually all other operating systems as well)
so if I were you I'd be installing instead an antivirus application that not
only works, works when installed on Win Me and causes none of the myriad of
problems caused by NAV and its companion LiveUpdate.
