Yes, the Java question is technically OT for this "performance" NG, but is
that *really* important? You have exactly two messages in the last 30 days
to any Win98 NG. This makes you the nanny? Hell, this NG has only thirty
messages in the entire last thirty days, and that's rather active for this
one. Who cares about a little OT? You would have been more pertinent,
yourself, if you'd directed the OP to the proper Win98 NG for such questions
(.Gen_Discussion or one of the WIn98 IE groups) instead of being such a
nit -- not to mention being wrong with your OT advice. Redirecting to a Java
group was *really* bad advice, also. Not likely to get much attention for a
Win98-specific question, and if you did get an answer, it would likely be
just as wrong as yours.
