Default unable to connect to internet

this didnot help--still unable to connect..once I went to the last step, an
error message #32.....renewing adapter....what does this mean...

Try this. Go to StartRun box and type in WINIPCFG, then press Enter. Make
sure your network adapter is showing in the drop-down (not PPP adapter, for
instance.) Click "Release" or "Release All", then "Renew" or "Renew All".
Does that get you onto the internet?
