I am helping my elderly neighbour and on start up he has a sort of brick
desktop which changes to what it should be when it boots up (Blue windows
background) I have noticed that where the desktop icons go they stay like
brick until the icons come up yet the rest of the screen is blue. Start up
is very slow.
