Try reinstalling the drivers. The system is recognising the card but=20
can't find the drivers for it. Check the Device Manager, does this =
give=20
you any further clue as to the possible cause of the problem?
I've re-installed the driver several times (different versions of it. I =
think, I've=20
now got the latest one compatible to ME) to no avail.
I'm going to describe what my Device Manager tells me, because I really=20
don't know how to interpret that information:
There is:
1394 Bus Controller Texas Instruments OHCI compatible IEEE 1394 Host=20
Controller=20
and also:
PCMCIA Socket
PCMCIA Card Services
Texas Instruments PCI-4451 CardBus Controller
Texas Instruments PCI-4451 CardBus Controller
Under Properties for PCMCIA Card Services it says:
General: This device is ready
device: PCMCIA Socket
manufacturer: microsoft
hardware version: not available
Driver: Microsoft
Date: 06/08/2000
Digital signature blablablabl
However I can not get Driver Info for the PCMCIA Card Services.
I can get driver info for the PCI-4451 CardBus Controller, which is a =
list of=20
files all in C://windows/system
CBSS.VXD... etc
What does that mean? What am I looking for? What should it be saying?
(Sorry, I'm really not all that good with computers...)
