I changed the subject of your original post to something more
descriptive, and added a much more active newsgroup to the
distribution.

During shut down the message eror OE 0028:C003157D appears on a
win98 se dektop system.

What should I do to fix the problem?

Thanks to all

That is a virtual memory page fault. Window or an application is
trying to access a page directory entry or page table that is not
present, or has caused a page-access violation.

There will be more information printed on the screen that is
necessary for us to help you fix the problem. You need to post
the entire error message here.

Ok, thanks 4 your help!
This is the message:

A fatal error OE in 0028:C003157D was occured.

-Press any key to stop application
-Press CTRL+ALT+CANC to reboot system. The unsaved information will
be lost

and then if I press ESC or other key at previous step sometimes a new
message appear that is

A fatal error OE in 0028:C025B5B6 was occured.

-Press any key to stop application
-Press CTRL+ALT+CANC to reboot system. The unsaved information will
be lost

Here is a list of 258 "Fatal Exception 0E" articles at the MSKB...

Read a few that seem close to your symptoms, & get back with any further
questions. If some seem easy & harmless to do -- do it!

But ther were only 5 for "Fatal Exception 0E shutdown"

....maybe start there.
