Default Win2k USB drive assignment locations?

Run COMPMGMT.MSC. You want StorageDisk Management.

In the lower right pane, each "drive" is listed. Right click on the disk
label and one option will be to change letter.

But I'm curious... What drives are assigned Q and R before you restart and
those get reassigned to the USB drives?

I have a fully updated Win2k system with multiple hard drives and
network shared drives. After drives, partitions & shares I have drive
slots N, P, V, W, Y & Z available. When the USB card reader with 3 USP
ports is added it is assigned N, P, V & W which works just fine. The
problem comes in when the system is re-booted with the unit in place.
It takes N, P, Q, R in sequence. In W98 it is possible to assign a
drive letter to a removable drive but I cannot remember where to go for
the same ability in W2k. Help...
