To try and resolve repeated random problems, I have been advised by
the hard drive manufacturer to replace the Primary IDE cable. The
existing cable supplied with the motherboard is a 80-conductor ribbon
cable for UltraDMA/66/100/133 so technically I do believe I have the
right one fitted. The main drive is the Master and there is a smaller
drive (lower spec.) as the Slave. However, I thought I would treat
myself to one of the round ones from Belkin via EBuyer to improve the
cooling as well. As I am going to order one on-line I thought I would
order two to replace the Secondary IDE cable as well which has the CD
Burner and DVD player. I know the Secondary IDE cable does not have
to be the same high specification but will it create any problems if
I in fact I do install the high speed cable?

Nope.
