I rarely use IE for web browsing over Mozilla/Firefox, but a few things are
messed up on my old system that I think repairing/reinstalling windows
explorer would help fix. I vaugely remember something about an option
somewhere to "repair internet explorer", but I can't remember where it was.
I thought it was under the "tools" menu of Microsoft System Information.
I should note that my OEM Windows CD with the proper drivers and other
stuff that came with the computer is damaged and unusable. I have another
Windows 98CD available that I copied from a friend, but I don't think it's
the same version of Win98SE. I haven't really checked it out however.
Internet Explorer reports as being version "5.00.2614.3500"
The System Control Panel reports that I'm using
Microsoft Windows 98
Second Edition
