Wetboots,

This is the reason I have never tried NUSB

I installed NUSB 3.3 a number of years ago without removing any of the other
drivers, and haven't had any problem with it*. As such I don't think its
so much as an "won't cooperate" problem, but a less-than-clearly conveyed
"if you want to use NUSB for all your USB devices" suggestion.

*Before anyone asks, I don't think that my 32GB stick problem is related to
it.

In that case, I might give it a try, without removing any present
drivers. I wish I knew what files it modifies in Windows, so I could
back them up. I'm sure the registry, but what else???

Of course I do have a full backup too, but I'd rather just go back a day
with the registry and maybe replace Win.Ini or soemthing, than restore
the whole thing.

The good thing about Win98, is that you can replace a backup, or even
move an installation of W98 to another computer and it will usually
work. You cant do that with XP.... I learned that the hard way.
