DX 9.0x for Win Me is available on WU and I've just downloaded and
installed it on a clean RTM Win Me running in a VM with no need for .NET.
By DX9b do you mean the earlier 9.0b?

at this point in the install of Dx9b, it was looking for
'bdasesetup.inf' in a .cab file - so it looks as if they've removed
the ME INF portion from the installer
.... June 2005 installs OK (with .Net installed)
....June 2006 actually states it supports ME! (will try tomorrow)
...Dec 2006 - downloading now for install tomorrow - no mention of ME
in the supports list
