Default Program list in Task Manager - Win 2000

Hello,

I know this (microsoft.public.win98.networking) is a 98 newsgroup
but can't find one for 2000. If not appropriate here, is there
another newsgroup where I should post this?

I don't know if there are win-2k groups, but the _better_ win-98 group
to post to is microsoft.public.win98.gen_discussion.

For anyone familiar with Win2000... I can't hear any flash videos
online. MP3, etc., online are fine, and no problem with any audio
files on my computer. Videos on youtube, for example, are just
fine but can't hear the audio.

I'm running flash version 11.6.602.171 on my win-98 systems.

I sometimes notice that to hear audio, I have to click the mute button
on the bottom control-panel of the flash window, and then click it again
to hear the sound. You might want to try that.

2nd question... This is a screen capture from Task manager just
after the PC is powered on and all AVG has updated and settled in.
Which of these programs could I remove? And do any look suspicious?

Thanks in advance.

I would either run msconfig or mess with your registry and get rid of:

- adobearm.exe
- jqs.exe
- jusched.exe

Sometimes to really make those 3 disappear you need to delete or rename
the files so the system can't find them. That's easy to do on a win-98
system (just boot into DOS) but on an NT-based system with that fabulous
NTFS, good luck.

Don't know what these a

- keyhook.exe
- pctspk.exe
- bjmyprt.exe (probably printer-related and not really necessary)
