Default Networking Card 3Com "3C905B-TX": File "el90xbc5.sys" not fou

Thank you, I found the file on the ME CD-ROM. But unfortunately, since I
copied new 3com drivers to the folder, the system crashes down every time I
want to install the card. It searches for the Drivers until the folder
"Drivers Windows" which I did not find, and after some seconds, there is no
answer anymore, the PC shuts downs. I tried to delete the driver files, but
this did not change anything, but made things worse as I deleted also some
other drivers files (for USB) f.ex. I I tried to reinstall those, but with
the same reaction, shut down by searching for the driver. It did not find a
driver on the ME CD either

el90xbc5.sys is included in the file NET4.CAB of the Win Me file set which
can be found in either the Win9x folder on a retail Win Me CD or in either
the C:\Windows\Options\Cabs or C:\Windows\Options\Install folder on your
Win Me PC. See MS KB129605 - "HOW TO: Extract Original Compressed
Windows Files" (http://support.microsoft.com?kbid=129605).

Alternatively you can download more recent drivers for your 3C905B-TX from
the 3COM site
(http://www.3com.com/products/en_US/r...-TX&order=desc)
and select and download the file 3c90x1.exe. If those don't work try the
older 3x90xn1.exe

Hi all,

I hope, somebody can help me:
I try to install a Networking Card 3Com 3C905B-TX, I even used a
driver from §com, but there is always the message: File
"el90xbc5.sys" not found. Though this file normally must be in the
path Windows/System/System32/Drivers. I also looked on the ME CD, but
this file does not exist there either.
