Lynn,

Either,
Look for the Show Desktop file in the Windows\system folder and drag a
copy to the quick launch bar, or, if the file really has gone missing,
Using Notepad, create a new document and enter the following text between
the two rows of +++
+++++++++++++++++
[Shell]
Command=2
IconFile=explorer.exe,3
[Taskbar]
Command=ToggleDesktop
+++++++++++++++++
Now save to your desktop as a file called ShowDesktop.txt and then right
click this new file and rename it ShowDesktop.scf. This will recreate the
missing file and a copy should be placed in the windows\system folder and
another on the quick launch bar.

Alternatively if your keyboard has a Windows Key (winkey) use Winkey+D

Hi there,

My desktop icon has disappeared from the quicklaunch toolbar. Where
can I locate it so that I can reinstate it? It's a handy icon and
I'd like to have it back.

Thanks!
