Default PDF vs. Resources

Harry,

Rather than opening a pdf file in Internet Explorer, try right clicking on
the file and safe to your desktop after which you can open and read it.
You could also consider using an alternative to Adobe Acrobat such as
Foxit (http://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf/rd_intro.php).

At times Adobe Acrobat Reader6 seems to eat up a tremendous amount of
either memory and/or system resources, specifically when downloading
larger pdf files, up to the point where there is not enough memory
left and it is being suggested to exit some programs, in order to
free up space.
Is there anything that can be done to avoid or prevent this from
happening and, if so, what would it be?
Given enough time the pc recovers on its own and I already did
disable some start-up items with 'msconfig'.

Harry.
