Okay, I've got a little more data on the problem I've been having. Upon
seeing the Control Panel screen, I get the following error message in a
little window in the middle of the screen:

"Runtime error 216 at 00005D88"

I can click "OK," and it goes away.

A friend at work recommends Trend Micro 2004 as a firewall, anti-virus and
spam filter. Any comments on this?
