Default At startup I get the Explorer message. Please Help. Thank you.

I can't find any reference to such a DLL. Search the disk for the any files
DNKMAINT and right-click it and select properties to see if you can identify
what it is. The folder it is in might provide a clue about what it is
(although the DLL will probably be in \System, which doesn't reveal
anything).

DSKMAINT.DLL is part of Scandisk, which could possibly run as part of the
startup procedure. If it has become corrupted it can be restored from the
W98 installation CD using SFC. If it really is DSKMAINT and it is being
reported as DNKMAINT then you may have a memory error.
