You install/uninstall via
Control Panel-Add/Remove-Windows Setup-Accessories-Paint
Have your Win98 CD ready.

You may not have to install/uninstall.
Have a look he
Err Msg: MSPAINT Caused an Invalid Page Fault... [Q185501]
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=185501
I have found that 95% of problems with MSPaint are fixed by this
reference:

To resolve this problem, use registry editor to delete the following
registry key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre nt
Version\Applets\Paint

This registry key is rebuilt the next time you start Paint.

Hi I guess you can work it out, but I am a real beginner as computers are
concerned so would need to take thinks one step at a time.

First, I cannot see ms paint in " install/uninstall programs"

Second, Where would I reload "paint" from. I presume it is on the windows

98
cd.

Third, if I attempt to fix paint Am I likely to end up with a Dead

computer.

Cheers Steve

MS Paint stopped working a while ago, and now I get this error

message

MSPAINT caused an invalid page fault in
module MFC42.DLL at 019f:6ab1f9eb.
