You install multiple versions of the same printer by repeating the install
procedure.

In that case, Windows knows there is already a printer driver installed for
the existing printer and offers to replace it. Instead, you should add a
new printer.

However, in the printer control panel, you can't copy a printer. When I
select a printer, those options are grayed out on the edit menu. Copy is
not an option on the right click context menu.

When I try the add printer wizard, it asks if I want to replace an

driver. I tried renaming my first definition, but that made no difference
in the wizard. It told me I was replacing a driver.

I don't see why Windows would object to duplicate printer drivers.
