I have a Freecell problem. When I try to open FC, I get a

blank
white board with a message telling me an error has occured.

It
gives me the option to close or ignore. It won’t let me

ignore and
if I close it pops up the standard close/details error box.

If I
click on details I get: General protection fault has occured

in
module CARDS.DLL at 0001.00000903. I have tried all the
other suggestions to ADD/REMOVE and haven’t had any luck. In
searching for info on CARDS.DLL, I see a lot of registry

cleaner
software offers. Is there another way to fix this? If I

bought the
registry cleaner, will it fix the problem?

Thanks for any help, Hoot G.

What happens if you temporarily turn off your anti-virus
program, or
your "Guard Dog" program if you've got one of those already
running,
and try to use Freecell? Does it work if you turn those off?
I've
heard some AV programs can cause those types of errors. Also,
I have
heard some registry cleaners can actually cause this problem
too, so
I'd probably pass on those.

I have already tried turning my AV off. Everthing I’ve found said this
occurs after installing something. The bad thing is, I only started
trying to play it a couple of weeks ago and my wife had not played it
in awhile. Therefore, we don’t know what did it. Hoot
