Some have had trouble when it comes to Article #129605 at step #3. What =
you need to do is reinstall your version of IE to work out the missing =
files issue.
Look for the IE#setup.exe files in:
C:\Progra~1\Intern~1
or
C:\Windows\Window~1

To overinstall IE6:
First, close all via CTRL+ALT+DEL except Explorer (includes your AV =
program, Scheduled Tasks, Screensaver, and going offline). =
StartRunIE6Setup.exe.
Select Minimal - Custom, select all the parts you use (but not any you =
didn't originally download) and overinstall. Should take about 2 =
minutes.
Reboot...the computer.

Unfortuanately she got into some zip files that were not=20
pics - self extract, downloaded programs waited to be=20
CORRECTLY installed and tried, and my back up registry. In=20
the space of a coupe of hours she'd opened about 1000 pics=20
and then the PC froze. Now when it is rebooted it stops=20
after log on and gives an error message

My computer does not have in internet connection, and=20
hasn't had for 5 weeks. My anti virus found nothing. I=20
have used Spybot Search and Destroy since the last time I=20
connected to the internet.
=20
My son home schools on this computer, and his work for=20
last few weeks has no back up, so I am concerned about=20
reformatting. Need to get important files 1.5 Mb plus from=20
C drive at least before formatting.
=20
I tried reloading Windows from the CD. I even deleted=20
