It is probably not in the registry, but in the Environment Settings - look
in MSCONFIG to check.

First, a correction, for what it's worth: the warning is

"Volume 'SWAP2' not present"

Volume, not partition or drive or anything.


I did as you suggested, moved the pagefile to C: and let Windows manage
its size. The warning is still there afrer 4 reboots.

As I had said, I had indeed selected F: as the swap drive and Windows
had apparently toed the line. It must be something else.

My record is not that precise... What if the SWAP2 partition had been
already there at Windows install time? Where would Windows write
itself a "drive map"?

Also, I scanned the registry, and there is no reference to "SWAP2"
anywhere.

Ideas anyone?
