You should not have to download a driver for an EIDE drive for operation
under Windows.
Does the BIOS see the drive when you boot? If not:
Check wiring, jumpers (Master/Slave/CS) as appropriate.
Why do you think the secondary channel was disabled ?

My computer is not recognizing the drive. So I was going
to go to the manufacturers web site and download the
driver for it but I do not know who the manufacturer is.
