Default Wish to access 2nd hard disk (probably NTFS) data in WIN98

What version of Windows was the HP running?

Run FDISK from the StartRun box, say Yes to large disk support, use option
5. to switch to the second "fixed drive", then use option 4. to see what's
there. It should tell you if it's NTFS or not.

Google is your friend:

Pretty sure this is the one I've used in the past.

Something on my old HP's motherboard lost it. I took out the hard disk
and
plugged it into an older Compaq as a slave to the Compaq's drive. The
Compaq's motherboard had no problem with that, the HP's hard disk is
present
with a letter and the disk capacity is recognized. However, only one
partition is accessible: the HP recovery partition formatted as a FAT32.
The OTHER partition (the one I'd really like to get into) is probably
formatted as an NTFS.

Is there any way (software or otherwise) to access an NTFS partition on a
slave hard disk in the Windows 98 environment?

Thanks.
