Default Router Firewall

I didn't use Network Magic because I purchased a router. I used it to set up
a 2 computer home network. If I recall correctly, I had setup the home
network several years ago but when I replaced our laptop, I had trouble
getting both computers to see each other. Obviously I had a configuration
problem but rather than continue and fumble around, I elected to use Network
Magic, which came with the router in a trial version. And indeed, it was
magic because it did everything for me.

Why? I just go to the web interface in the router to set things up. Never
had to use any software to configure any router I have set up. Some of the
newer ones include a Wizard in the Web GUI to guide you through the
process.
