My computer often hangs up when I go to shut down and it
says that AVToolTipView is not responding. I have to
click 'End Task' to clear the problem.

Any ideas what this is and how I can stop it happening,
please?
.
I get the same - and when I search for the file -

nothing
shows up - search the web, nothing except this inquiry.
.
I have the same problem too only on certain occasions.

AvToolTipView is part of Acrobat Reader. I only seem to
get the problem after I've viewed a PDF file within
Internet Explorer. I notice if you get that error, hit
cancel then CTL+ATL+DEL and see if theres "Acrord32-Not
Responding" first. It seems the Acrobat Reader Plug-In for
Internet Explorer doesnt shut down properly. From the
Adobe Web Site

Solution 3 Disable Web Browser Integration.
1. In Acrobat or Adobe Reader, choose Edit Preferences
Internet.
2. Deselect Display PDF in Browser, and then click OK
So you can still view a PDF
Solution 2 Save the PDF file to your hard drive
1. Right-click the link to the PDF file on the Web site,
and then choose Save Target As (Internet Explorer) or Save
Link As (Netscape Navigator).
2. In the Save As dialog box, select a location on the
hard disk, and then click Save.
3. Double-click the PDF file to open it in Acrobat Reader
If that doesnt do the trick try d/l an older version like
4 or 5
