That sounds far more to me like a Win2K/XP error message than one from Win
Me.

A STOP 0x0000007B error is often an indication of hardware problems or
corrupted disk drive drivers. This error can also result from a boot
virus, file system problems or problems with the motherboard hard disk
controller.

I think it may be due to a previous virus. I would like to know how to
bypass this error, get into the computer, retrieve what data I can
and then as a last resort I will probably reinstall windows me and
reformat the hard drive.
